HUD-Assisted Communities

HACG provides HUD-subsidized housing through its (14) Housing Communities.

Affiliated and Mixed Finance Housing Communities

HACG provides non-owned HUD-subsidized affordable housing through its affiliation with a multi-phase HOPE VI development project (Ashley Station); a mixed finance, multi-phase development project (Arbor Pointe I, II and III (the Cottages @ Arbor Pointe)), Patriot Pointe (a near elderly community), Columbus Commons, The Banks at Mill Village.

Contract Management

HACG also provides property management services for four other housing authorities within a 50 mile radius of Columbus, Georgia, as well as a small property owned by the City of Columbus, Georgia. These properties are:

  • Housing Authority of the City of Buena Vista (79 units)
  • Housing Authority of the City of Ellaville (40 units)
  • Housing Authority of the County of Harris (43 units)
  • Legacy Terrace (17 units)

Permanent Supportive Housing

Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) is a program that provides homes for eligible persons having various needs for mental health services. PSH increases the client's available choices of housing alternatives. The PSH development has an on-site staff to provide individualized assistance for the residents. The facility (Willow Glen) has 28 one-bedroom apartments.

Housing Choice Vouchers

HACG has 3,914 Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV). The Section 8 HCV Program assists low income families rent houses or apartments from private landlords. These vouchers have limited portability in that the voucher holders are free to relocate to a different city or state in connection with employmet and use their voucher at the new location.

National Housing Compliance, Inc.

HACG is one of 11 shareholders of National Housing Compliance, Inc. (NHC). NHC is a not-for-profit tax-exempt Section 501-C-4 organization that provides contract administration services for project-based Housing Assistance Payment Section 8 contracts. NHC currently serves as field asset manager for units in Georgia and Illinois.
