The Cottages at Arbor Pointe (Baker Village Phase III)

The Cottages at Arbor Pointe are 120 units of housing for the elderly. It is the third and final phase of the Baker Village Revitalization Strategy. The design was very innovative creating an illusion of single-family homes, and it encouraged outside “porch sitting” and social interaction within the community. The amenities within the development are targeted to older residents and contribute to the feel of “community”. The site amenities include a theater room, computer lab, and walking trail.

The cost of developing The Cottages was $15,316,869. The funding sources included LIHTC equity, HACG Replacement Housing Factor Funds, HACG HOPE VI program income, deferred developer fee and first mortgage debt.
